Point Scuba

sCuBa DiViNg?? 10 points?
So i was planning on getting my scuba diving certificate this fall. I’ve never been before though, so i’m a little bit nervous, but i still really wanna try it.
So just wondering like how does it feel like? is breathing easy enough? did you enjoy your experience?
thanks a lot
OMG! It’s the most unreal experience!!! I live in Hawaii so SCUBA diving is like a real popular sport here. One of my favorite dives is the Hale’iwa Trench dive. On the North shore on the island of o’ahu, at Haleiwa harbor, there is a long trench. Standing at the top of the Trench(at 15 – 18 ft depth), you can look straight down to the bottom of the Trench (about 90-95 ft depth). Where else can you stand at a 10 story drop-off, and dive head first, down to the bottom of the cliff and not die??!!?? Of course going down head first was a bit harder to equalize the pressure (my sinuses and ear drums) but what a rush that was!!! I felt like I was Superman gliding down to the bottom of the trench I haven’t done any bungee jumping, so I can’t compare the “rush”, but that was such a memorable experience. Another awesome dive was off the island of Lana’i. There’s a dive site called “cathedrals”. It’s a natural coral cave with lightbeams (rays?) streaming down from the coral roof above streaming into the cave down to a makeshift altar. That was a soothing, and peaceful dive. Molokini crater off the island of Maui is another nice dive. Off the Wai’anae coast is a shipwreck dive called “The Mahi” in 95ft of water, also close by, are two sunken world war II airplanes. The cockpits are open (sorry, no dead pilots skeletons lol).
Breathing is a bit different than on land, but once you experience the wonders of SCUBA diving, it becomes second nature. I don’t know where you are from, or where you will be diving, but if you ever come to Hawaii, we have some awsome dives here. There are some tourist trap dive shops that charge outrageous rates for the boat dives, but if you check with some of the “local” dive shops, you could get in a couple of boat dives for a reasonable price. In Hawaii you can dive year round because the pacific ocean is pretty warm here.
